TRAINER

Kaitlyn Callahan

Growing up I always knew I wanted to spend my life working with animals. From volunteering at rescues, working as a kennel technician, a veterinary receptionist, and now a full-time trainer. My passion has always been helping people live better lives with their dogs. They bring us so much joy, especially when we can communicate with each other correctly.

The journey of owning and training dogs is a continuous cycle of learning and developing. I continue to educate myself by going to seminars, online courses, and reading from some of the most well-known trainers worldwide. I pride myself in being open minded and training the dog in front of me as there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to our pets.

PUP ASSISTANT

Tivoli

We adopted Tivoli in December of 2014, she was a ex street dog who was still on the feral side when we brought her home. With her the road to becoming a calm confident dog was not easy but with a lot of work we worked together to bring her to her full potential.

Over the years she has become our momma dog, she has helped me whenever I bring a new dog/foster into the house, but also becoming a great demo dog who assisted me in my lessons with clients. She enjoys living the retired life these days, but she will still be apart of Composed Canine and pop up in an occasional lesson!

PUP ASSISTANT

Kairo

Kairo joined the house in 2015 as the cutest puppy, and she is still the “baby dog.” She was a blast to raise and is such a lovable girl who makes us laugh every day. Being half Husky, she taught me that their need to be independent is strong no matter what you do. She is a regular helper with my more reactive clients due to her sass.

PUP ASSISTANT

Yachty

Callahan’s I Am The Boat RE HT CA BCAT CGC

Miss “Naughty” Yachty joined our pack in 2018 after I decided to foster fail her because she fit into the house so well after just a short adjustment period. She is my first sport prospect, and she gives everything her all.

Competing in her first lure coursing event in 2019 it has been a never-ending journey of sports since. She brought me into the world of AKC Rally in 2020 and in that same year qualified us for the 2021 National. I can’t wait to continue our journey and learn new sports together.

PUP ASSISTANT

Tink

Mighty Tink is our newest addition, joining the pack officially in 2021 after being returned to us after adoption. I knew the first time I met her she was a special dog, and she has lived up to that since coming back to us.

Her absolute favorite activity is the sport of Dock Diving, competing in DockDogs and NADD organized events, she has earned multiple titles and has been invited to Regional and World Championships.

Let's work together!
